It was a great pleasure for Instructors and Students from Scotland Tang Soo Do to attend the Dutch Open Championships in Rotterdam on 27th November 2022. A team of 16 travelled from Scotland to The Netherlands, the first overseas tournament for Scotland students, since before the pandemic, making this trip all the more special!
What made the Championships extra special though, was seeing KJN Rob Salm officially recognised as leader and Kwan Jang Nim of the EMTF. Grandmaster Ashok Kumar and Grandmaster Charles Ferraro announced this in the form of a letter and a speech. Mrs. Salm, wife of the late Grandmaster Theo Salm, presented the golden belt to her son (KJN Robert Salm) during this ceremony. The golden belt is now passed on from father to son, KJN Theo Salm to KJN Robert Salm.
Scottish competitors did Scotland proud at the event also bringing home many medals and trophies for their efforts:

- Myles Wilson – 1st Forms, 1st Open, 1st Knife & 2nd Bo Staff
